I am really glad I chose this place to celebrate Father's Day aka Parents Day as the previous restaurant choice was a total flop for Mother's Day. My parents were not very happy as the travelling distance between my house and the restaurant is quite far. But it is all worth it, they love the food and the amount was surprisingly generous. We ordered 2x 500grams Chilli Crabs, 6 Fried Mantou, 1For1 Lobster in butter garlic mushroom, Steven Chicken, 4 rice and a teapot. The tea is normal, taste a bit mild but it is acceptable for me. The rice they use seem to be fragrance rice. The texture of the lobsters and crabs are pretty good, very meaty. The sauce is just nice too. My parents were quite surprised with the crab size although it is 500 grams. The Steven chicken is a must try, it taste just right and the texture is not too hard. My parents really enjoyed this meal, they were praising the food constantly during meal time which made me glad to have chosen this restaurant. The staff was attentive and very helpful with clearing dirty plates. There were so many other food that I wanted to try but I will leave it for next time. I find the noise level and ambience acceptable and not noisy, maybe it is after Father's Day s the crowd level was manageable. I do think it is a good place to go to if you have parents who are picky eaters. We had a wonderful dining experience at NY Orchid Live Seafood Restaurant. The food was really good, especially the Steven chicken, fresh lobster porridge, and tasty bamboo clams. We would like to give a special compliment to our waitress, Xiu Ying. She was very friendly, polite, and attentive throughout our meal. She served us with a warm smile, checked on our table at the right times, and made sure everything was comfortable for us. Her service made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
