I was walking back to my hotel at 1 in the morning, when I heard the sound of Slayer's Raining Blood blasting out of a bar across the street. Like a moth drawn to the light, I couldn't help but make a beeline for the source of the music. A live metal band in Bangkok! I absolutely had to stay and watch. They played Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, and Motörhead covers. The beers were quite reasonably priced for a bar, the staff were friendly, and the vibe was great. They even let me smoke a cigar inside without everyone having a hissy fit! The next time I'm in Bangkok, I will definitely be back at Otto Bar. Price per person: ฿1–200
