Visited Our Fireplace and immediately fell in love with the place and food. We were greeted with warm smiles as we entered into this cozy place just as its name suggests. It’s our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. My girl tried their golden hash browns and chicken yakitori and she enjoyed those golden coins so much that she asked for more hash browns claiming it’s so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. As for the adults, we shared the pork satay that comes with turmeric rice, fried mee siam and their signature crispy pancake! The fried mee siam is one of the best one I have ever tasted and I particularly loved the tenderness of the grilled chicken leg that goes well with the tanginess of mee siam. I was told that they also serve a vegetarian version of fried mee siam and I would love to give that a try one day. The homemade crispy pancake was my sister’s favourite, bringing a nostalgic taste. There are still some dishes that I would like to try like the chilli crab shrimps, chicken and pork ribs curry, and Ayam Merah! Oh and they serve very nice Yuzu tea, rich and smooth coffee and ice cream!! Their coffee ice cream is a must try if you are both an ice cream and coffee lover! Our Fireplace, thank you for serving these delicious homemade food and creating a welcoming place where we can chill and enjoy a good meal together in an unhurried manner. A hole in the wall restaurant that served home cooked food and alcoholic drinks. Highly recommended the pork satay and dry mee siam. Cozy and conducive environment to chill and hang out with friends. Excellent service from the bistro owners. Loved the espresso ice cream dessert after main course - not too sweet and very creamy! found this place on gmaps and whoa the dry mee siam is really delicious! it’s been awhile since i tasted something and said “wa” so kudos to them. portions are great too, the accompanying fried chicken was nice. ayam merah tastes good too! their rendition isn’t exactly the flavour profile of the typical malay stores but it’s really flavourful. personally i’d prefer if there’s chicken thigh/drumstick instead of wings. one suggestion to the cafe is that maybe you guys can serve some iced tea eg iced lemon/lychee tea? but otherwise, warm service and great place. i’d definitely be returning for the food, and also to get their sapporo on tap! Our various types of coffee and tea are currently served in both hot and iced options. We are also exploring adding other iced tea options.
