クリスマスのディナーに利用しました。 料理はおいしく、値段に見合うものでした。 景色もみなとみらいを見れる席ではなかったものの、 ベイブリッジが見れて、連れも満足していました。 雰囲気もよく、デートや記念日には利用しやすいお店だと思います。 ただ、事前に連絡をしていたとはいえ、 15分程度遅れていってしまったことも原因のひとつですが、 (他テーブルはコースが1品先を提供されているタイミング） 到着してから20分程度料理もパンも何も出ず、放置されており、 こちらから「料理が何もこない」と声かけしてはじめて、スタートしたような状況でした。 特に謝罪もありませんでした。 大事な日だったこともあるため、この辺のオペレーションは要改善かと思います。

My wife and I took our two grandchildren (12 & 13) to Pier 21 for a "dress up" night out on our Japan trip. Description indicated varied menu including selection of seafoods. A la crate menu had only 3 choices - pasta, beef steak, and hamburger steak. Beef steak was terrible. Pasta was not good. One of grandchildren ordered hamburger steak which never arrived. When asked the wait staff after some delay, he indicated kitchen closed and too late to order. Meal was so bad, had to take everyone to McDonalds (where we never eat but did please the grandkids) after our "dinner" at Pier 21. Although the atmosphere is nice, this restaurant is an embarrassment to and not up to the standards I would expect from the Intercontinental, where we were staying. Would definitely suggest avoiding this restaurant.

I chose this restaurant because it was next to the hotel where my friend was staying, and because it had a great view. It was certainly convenient, and the view is lovely. But the food and service were disappointing. We chose the cheapest of three set menus, about 4,700 yen each. The top one was about 8,500 yen. It was the same meal that we had, plus some additional courses. For us, the 4,700 yen one was enough food. There was a rather odd hors d’oeuvre: a small ball of rice (one ball) that had been fried. The waiter told us it was a croquette, but croquettes are usually made with milk and eggs. It seemed to me that this one didn’t have either. It was just “fried rice”. The fish was one of my favorite types, but it had been cooked in a lot of oil, and every mouthful was oily. The miscellaneous small desserts were delicious, and the coffee was fine. For us, this was a special occasion, and my friend ordered a bottle of Australian champagne. The waiter, startled, suggested that he must have made a mistake, and that he had meant to order two glasses of that champagne. No, my friend said, a whole bottle. The waiter made a face as if the order was unbelievable, and he checked one more time to be sure that we really wanted the whole bottle. We were two Americans in a Japanese restaurant. I speak Japanese; my friend does not. The waiter’s English was poor. When he answered my questions, he did so sometimes in English and sometimes in Japanese, but always while looking at my friend, not at me. We were there from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on a Friday night. When we left the restaurant, we realized that all the other customers had already gone.
