I regularly do a Google Maps search for "air-conditioned coffee shop near me" and I find some great places that I would most definitely have missed otherwise. PIO Coffee is one just gem. It's a bit 'off the beaten track' but well worth finding. There is specific parking for the shop for 3 cars in the block across the alley. A very friendly couple welcomed us in to their shop and showed an interest in why we were here (i.e. living in Thailand) and how we located their shop. They didn't realise they could be located by a search like "air-conditioned coffee shop near me" which made them laugh. We had very nice hot coffees, homemade scones and a big cookie all of which were very nice. The hostess, Ploy, told us that she made her own jam for the scones too. ...and for someone who likes their music from all eras, the early 70s Philadelphia/Stax/Soul soundtrack was a perfect aural backdrop. Oh and the air-conditioning was spot on so Google Maps can have a tick for that. It's a staple at this time of year that if you're going for a lunchtime/afternoon, any eaterie/drinkerie has to have good AC. It's a lovely little 'out of the way' coffee shop that's a nice addition to pitstops in and around where we live and we'll definitely be visiting here again and again. Saw the lemon and strawberry tart on Instagram and decided I needed to try it, amazing , obviously a lot of care has been put into the making of the pastry as I'm a baker by trade, loved it. Coffee was awesome, just like back home in Melbourne. Great little coffee place , must try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
