A Mixed Experience at 99, PIRATE OF THE SEA Garden Bistro and Cafe Atmosphere: The ambiance at 99, PIRATE OF THE SEA Garden Bistro and Cafe is lovely. The nautical-themed decor and comfortable seating create a relaxed and inviting environment. The interior design, with its fresh blue and white tones, felt refreshing and matched the garden bistro vibe perfectly. The attention to detail in the decor, including the pirate-themed elements, added a playful touch. Service: The staff was attentive and friendly, providing good service throughout the meal. They were quick to take orders and accommodating, which added a positive note to our experience. Food Presentation: The presentation of the dishes was impressive. Each plate was beautifully arranged, with vibrant colors and thoughtful garnishing. It definitely set high expectations for the taste. Food Taste: Unfortunately, the taste did not live up to the presentation. • Cilantro Salad with Crispy Soft Crab: While visually appealing, the flavors didn’t blend well. The dressing tasted overly salty, overpowering the delicate crab. • ยำแหนม (Spicy Fermented Pork Salad): The dish was spicy, but lacked the depth and balance that makes a good ยำ. The flavors did not meld together harmoniously. • ปีกไก่ทอดเกลือ (Salted Fried Chicken Wings): The chicken wings were crispy, but the seasoning did not penetrate the meat, leaving the flavor flat. Value for Money: Considering the food quality, the pricing felt a bit steep. While the setting and service were commendable, the taste of the dishes did not justify the cost. Overall: I had high hopes for this charming bistro, but the flavors fell short of expectations. There is certainly potential here, especially with such a wonderful atmosphere and good service. A bit of fine-tuning in the kitchen, focusing on flavor balance and seasoning, could elevate the dining experience significantly.
