“Papá’s Dream,” a small bar on the second floor. 1000 yen cover charge. A very cozy place, the kind where you can truly connect. The owner was also very kind, which made everything feel even more personal. Calm atmosphere, great food, good beer, and a very nice selection of Japanese jazz. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000

Our first night in Tokyo and we wandered through Golden Gai — I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else! The bar feels authentic and less touristy, with fantastic jazz music and a warm, welcoming vibe. The owner’s passion and vision really make the experience special. Arigato for an unforgettable night!
