Not a natural advocate for buffets, but Paradise Veggie makes a convincing case for an exception. The tip came from our tour guide — a vegetarian and Hong Kong local — which is about as reliable a source as you can get. It delivered. The spread is entirely plant-based but stays true to the flavors and textures of classic Hong Kong dim sum, and that’s no small thing. The food genuinely recalled the meat-filled dim sum of years past — not as a pale imitation but as something that stands on its own terms. For anyone after a vegetarian meal in Hong Kong that doesn’t compromise on local culinary character, this one is worth seeking out. The food was great and they did a good job of keeping the place clean and light bright feeling even though it's in the basement. The only problem is after sitting down I looked up at the ceiling oh my God. It look like black mold or fungus growing on the air conditioning units they were going for an open ceiling design industrial style but it was so filthy I was afraid something would fall into my food. They really should install a ceiling or at least get a feather duster with a 10-ft pole and clean everything. Of course if it's mold they need to do something more serious. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: It's all vegetarian!
