My last visit was almost 20 years ago. Although Italian cuisine wasn’t really my kind of food, but my memory of the food here then was impressive. Tonight I finally brought my Italian food lover wife to this restaurant, and Lydia the manager made our date night really special with her impeccable service and recommendations. First time I truly appreciate Italian food and my wife loves it. Crispy Risotto Balls with spicy Arrabbiata Sauce and Parmesan Cheese was amazing. The taste and texture was surprisingly good. Grilled Marinated Pork Tomahawk with Potato Mash and Sauteed Vegetables was also a pleasant surprise for us. The pork was really tender on the inside and crusty on the outside. We still trying to figure out what is the black sauce that goes so well with this dish. I risked sounding like a paid advertisement but I have to mention Stracci Pasta with Saffron Cream Sauce, Prawns & Scallops. As Lydia puts it, it is the Italian version of our Meehoon Kueh. It is thin and soft yet not mushy. The saffron cream sauce is delightful but not overpowering. We will have to bring some friends on our next visit to try out the other dishes soon. I have been waiting a year to try this place and when I had the opportunity, it didnt disappoint. Pasta was hand made and thin, with incredibly smooth texture. Pasta sauce was flavourful and rich, pairing with the pasta beautifully. Their pizza was also incredibly thin with great bold flavour. Would definitely recommend paying this place a visit. We had the Garlic Toast, Grandma Braised Beef Meatballs, Margherita Pizza, Carbonara Fettucine, Wagyu Beef Cheek Stew with Aglio Olio Penne, and Duck Ragu Mushroom Pappardelle. My girls, who are usually picky eaters, finished their food in no time. Every dish was great. Perhaps it was partly because we just returned from our holidays in China. But we very much enjoyed our dinner at Pasta Brava. Will return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
