I hesitated to leave this review because the service staff are polite and welcoming. I do not normally leave bad reviews unless something is very off (feel free to check my history). But in this case I feel I have a civic duty. The pork knuckle is ancient (see photos) and reheated. The mustard is American yellow. The kraut is mush. In fact, I have the impression that every ingredient is from costco.. perhaps even the pork knuckle (which costco sells precooked). The restaurant is also about 500m from a costco. Overall close to 1200ntd for a coffee and old costco ingredients seems excessive. If you are craving pork knuckle then there is a wonderful Swiss restaurant called Alphutte in Tamsui. As to the owner and service staff: I appreciate your hospitality and friendly service, but at the end of the day, people generally go to restaurants for the food. Service is top notch - like having a personal waiter. Very attentive and prompt. Main waiter speaks a bit fast. Atmosphere feels like a German pub with an outside dining option. Comfortable. Nice light jazz music. Noise level overall is good - able to talk and hear fine - even with other customers. Has handicap bathroom. Food was also very good. Had shared the pork nuckle platter and extra pretzels. Nuckle was pretty good, a bit dry. Cheese sausages we're good. Pretzels very tasty. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $400–600 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
