Been a fan of Pepper Lunch since I was a kid, so I had to visit the Hung Hom branch at The Whampoa. Got the classic Black Pepper Beef Rice, and it’s still that comforting, nostalgic taste I love. The iron plate makes everything so fragrant, and I went heavy on the honey sauce this time—sweet and savory perfection. The corn and rice soaked up the sauce so well. It wasn’t too crowded, so I could take my time enjoying the meal. Only downside? The drinks are a bit pricey (HK$12 for a soda), but the food itself is such a steal.
