A one-man-show restaurant providing an intimate ambience between its sole chef-owner and its customers. We ordered the pasta of the day, which was a cream sauce scallion shrimp pasta, and the Jejudo Grilled Octopus. The portions weren’t large, but our party of two smaller asians were quite satiated given the richness of each dish. The pasta was nicely coated with a pleasantly light, creamy sauce that had a hint of cheesiness. I appreciated how the chef offered to add more cheese to match our taste and the pasta wasn’t drowning in sauce. The supremely soft grilled octopus was easily the highlight of the night. Truly one of the best textures I’ve ever experienced with octopus. It sits on a bed of liquid-smooth mash potato that performs more like a thick, buttery sauce for you to dip your grilled octopus and charcoal-fired veggies than your typical side. The orange home-made chipotle sauce added a harmonious spicy kick to the otherwise savory dish. They also serve four kinds of wine by the glass at a reasonable price, which we of course took advantage of. This spot is probably best for those who frequent this area looking for a hidden gem of a date spot in a less populated area of town.
