Ordering was a slight ordeal. Took me maybe 3 times to get my order through even though I was just pointing. Not sure if it’s necessary to point out to a foreigner that the food has fish sauce when a majority of Thai food also does. The food was delicious and the portion was reasonable for the cost (175 baht), but I don’t recommend ordering it “mild” like some other reviewer did, unless you really can’t handle spice. The mild option is VERY mild. Price per person: ฿1–200 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Best Esan food in town but in the way of hi so eating as this store is offering foods a bit pricy. But it worth the price as the size, tastes, quality all are in perfect way of eating Esan food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We are on a 60 day food Safari of Bangkok and Phuket, focusing mostly on authentic food, especially street food. We came to Phed Phed Hey based on the good reviews and it's Isan based menu. We ordered a simple mango salad. Unfortunately on this occasion it had too much fermented fish sauce, and together with the anchovies on top added so much salt as to make it unpleasant. Such a pity. After a few minutes more it was inedible. It seems to me that many places we visit on this trip are so busy they don't take the time to taste the food before they serve. If they did, this dish would never have been served. I wish it could have even better. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1–100
