THIS IS THE SPOT FOR MATCHA! The wonder is so nice and you get a selection of free matcha samples to help you choose what to buy. It was such an intimate and cool experience. This isn’t a spot to just quickly be matcha. It’s a spot to spend a bit of time (20 Mins-ish) to have the full experience. It’s seriously so cool. Definitely go, it was the highlight of my day! They also have oat milk. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A hidden gem for exceptional matcha! Phi SelectedTEA is a small, beautifully run matcha spot and truly one of the most special places I discovered in Chiang Mai. It’s a hidden gem — the kind of place you feel genuinely lucky to stumble upon, and absolutely worth seeking out. The owner is incredibly friendly and generous with his knowledge. Having lived in Japan for many years, he brings a depth of experience that you can taste in every cup. You can try and compare different matcha varieties, all prepared with great care, intention and traditional technique. The quality is outstanding. If you love matcha, or if you simply want to experience authentic Japanese tea in its purest form, this is a place you shouldn’t miss. A must-visit.
