This review is long over due as I visited on July 17th. I came after visiting Sunset coffee roasters flagship around the corner. While Sunset is not a corporate coffee place, Pitch was noticeably more relaxed and personal. Pitch is owned by a young guy named Wood and his girlfriend. Looking at the coffee bar setup, it is clear that Wood is passionate about coffee as there is plenty of high level home barista equipment to experiment with (like the Lagom p64 coffee grinder). I was able to chat with Wood about nerdy coffee stuff like the Lotus Water he bought for customizing the chemistry of the water used for brewing coffee, bringing back coffees from Glitch coffee roasters in Tokyo, friends in Australia sending him especially good coffees from Australian roasters, and sourcing handmade ceramics and coffees from Northern Thailand. I had a lot of fun with Wood and would love to visit Pitch coffee again. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
