Food was okay, good set lunch introduced. The atmosphere and table settings a bit weird. They have too many staff waiting around and walking behind my back (felt like no privacy at all!) when there’s less customers. Could have thought this through on their atmosphere. The pizza and food are consistently great, and I love the atmosphere. This is why I’m giving this place 5 stars, because unless service is atrocious, I think it’s unfair to deduct from the rating. But I think it’s worth pointing out that the service is pretty bad here. My boyfriend had gotten “recommendations” from the waitress to add toppings to pizza twice, without being informed that there’s a $30 additional topping fee that will be charged. And one of the times he wasn’t even asking for an addition - we had a friend who didn’t like blue cheese, so he asked to subtract blue cheese from a pizza with blue cheese (plus other toppings including onion) on it, and the waitress recommended him to just choose a whole other pizza and then add back onion on that other pizza. But she didn’t tell him that this would have the cost of adding onion as a topping, and the final sum made it cost more than simply getting the blue cheese pizza (and asking them to hold back on the blue cheese). This is simply ridiculous and in bad faith. Another thing is that they asked me one time to pay with cash. Luckily I had cash and I was happy to pay with cash, anything to help small businesses cut back on transaction costs. My bill was $273 and I took out a $500 bill. Which I think is a completely reasonable change ratio for cash. But the cashier lady asked me if I have smaller bills, which meant I basically had to take out $273 perfectly (or at least 3 x $100 bills). I ended up taking out $273 perfectly. I think this is unreasonable as they had a whole cashier with. Presumably cash in it, right? It seems like they don’t think about the inconvenience of asking me for “smaller bills”. It’s also pretty hard to flag a waitress down even if the restaurant is completely empty. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
