We ate here many times over the course of our week at the resort for breakfast lunch and dinner. The area seems too small for the number of rooms at the resort especially for Breakfast. There are make shift conference tables setup in odd places (on a lawn area in full sun etc) and staff appear overworked rushing around with tables often left dirty for extended periods. A lot of chairs have bird poo on them that isn’t cleaned off. One morning we were let into breakfast but there was no tales available and we ended up walking around until we finally stopped a staff member who then directed us to a conference room upstairs which was awful and had a make shift buffet which had hot food that was freezing cold!! No exactly a five star experience. We were moved downstairs after we complained. The staff all appear run off their feet and struggle to keep up with the breakfast rush with there always seeming to be a shortage of cups plates etc. The staff do a great job compensating for what seems to be a very poorly managed restaurant. The busyness and hodge podge of seating really doesn’t lend itself to relaxing holiday breakfast vibe most people come here for. The food variety and quality we found to be pretty good on the whole but were a little disappointed by the lack of variety or availability of proper fresh Thai fruit. All the fruit juices are cheap and full of sugar etc I would suggest management should consider removing some of the oversized couches and tables and put in enough tales and chairs to accomodate the resort when at capacity. They should also equip staff with enough plates, glasses and better systems to help them cope when the restaurant is busy without it seeming to be frantic every morning. It’s not a relaxing atmosphere. Compared to other 5 star buffets this has good potential but is really let down by things that could be easily fixed if managed better. Kudos to the staff for doing such a great job when they clearly are not well supported by management. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Our group of 7 had a wonderful Thai buffet experience at Plai, and it turned out to be one of those meals that you remember long after the evening ends. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the entire operation ran like clockwork. The staff were impressively attentive. The plates were cleared promptly, tables kept tidy, and everything was done with that warm, genuine Thai smile that makes hospitality here so special. It never felt rushed, yet everything flowed seamlessly. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the exceptional service from Jiw and Tuk. These two ladies stood out with their friendliness, attentiveness, and sincere warmth. They didn’t just serve, they made us feel welcomed and cared for. Their energy and professionalism added a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. All in all, a fantastic dining experience with excellent food, efficient service, and standout hospitality. Jiw and Tuk absolutely deserve special recognition and yes, perhaps even that well-earned bonus Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1,200–1,400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Bad Thai food a la carte. The worst Tom yam koong in my life... Cold prawns after freezing in soup is terrible... Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
