We arrived atour Airbnb on the mountain late and it was hard to find any food or a restaurant. When we were desperate for food, we met the owner — she was about to close up and go back home. But when she heard our story, she said, “Now it’s open.”We were so touched and happy for her kindness. We’ll remember this day because the kindness transcended nationality and race.
