If you are a foodie or someone who just appreciates delicious home style cooking at affordable prices I highly recommend that you give Pom Gene Cafe a try. They serve Thai and Western food. While my daughter and girlfriend give the Thai food rave reviews I can attest to the fact that I've savoured some of the best Western food in Asia in this roadside Cafe. The burgers and steak burger are hand crafted, use premium imported beef and are prepared and served American style with french fries and an array of condiments. If you like traditional British style fish and chips you must try the halibut which is sourced from the Norwegian cold waters. The skin is removed and it is dipped in a homemade batter and fried to golden perfection. The succulent white flesh melts inn your mouth. For those of you that enjoy streaky smoked bacon for breakfast you will be delighted with the breakfast options. Writing this review is making my mouth water. I'm going to head out and enjoy a bowl of their South West or Texas style chile con carne. P.S. I should add that I was allowed to inspect the kitchen. Everything is spotless. The servers and service are second to none! And a special thank you to Pom and Gene, you are such warm and kind hosts. Thank you!
