I spent a total of 9 months cycling through Thailand about 10 years ago, and after a decade, I finally returned — this time with my wife and our daughter — for a 15-day holiday on the small island of Ko Jum. One of the highlights of our trip was discovering this restaurant while exploring the island on the motorbike we rented. In terms of value for money, it was honestly one of the two best meals we had in Thailand during this trip. And on Ko Jum itself, it was by far the most delicious restaurant we tried. I would have liked to give other places a chance to support local businesses, but not coming back to Phu Yai Don would have felt unfair — we enjoyed it that much as a family. Highly recommended!
