Lok Fu’s tropical style High quality Hainanese chicken rice My friend told me that he had eaten at a high-quality Hainanese chicken rice restaurant called Pulau in the Central market before. This time he saw it in Lok Fu and of course he had to give it a try! Pulau is the island in Malayalam. Every shop is very charming. From the decoration, uniforms of colleagues to the take-out paper bags, they all have special designs. It’s so thoughtful! Changing the name from Malaya, it is of course reasonable to have Malaysian cuisine, but surprisingly, there are also Singaporean, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes to choose from! Kaya Toast (Panlan) ($26) Kaya and butter are so bold! Crispy toast with pandan sauce and thick slices of butter, it’s so evil! Enough Mala! Avocado five-color rice paper roll ($62) has five colors of vegetables wrapped in a transparent rice paper roll. It looks very attractive. It is also served with yellow mango sauce. It is so refreshing and perfect for summer! Hainanese chicken rice with laksa rice noodles ($88) This Hainanese chicken rice can be paired with white pepper bak kut teh, klang bak kut teh or laksa rice noodles. It really satisfies two wishes at once. The slightly spicy Lasa rice noodles have a super fragrant coconut milk flavor, and the side dishes include eggs, shrimps, fish fillets, etc., which is quite rich. Really high quality! The portion of Mala Chan Tong Choi ($42) is huge, it’s salty and fragrant, it’s a perfect meal! Frozen Sea Salt Ice Cream with Coconut Cendol ($28) is another great summer style check-in item. A large ball of sea salt ice cream is placed on top of the Coconut Cendol. However, the mouth of the cup is relatively thin, so remember to keep it in mind when eating. If I am not careful, it will be like I am full of diarrhea!
