saw some positive reviews of their matcha latte and decided to try it. ordered a strawberry matcha latte, and it was the most confusing matcha latte i’ve ever had. The texture is oddly thick and grainy, which made it feel like a milkshake rather than a latte, which I tried to add milk to, later on, hoping it would make it slightly better. It did but the taste was strange. Upon first taste, it has a hint of flower which i liked. However, there was an overpowering sour taste. I thought it was the strawberry but the strawberry jam was stirred in thoroughly and the sour taste was still very present. After diluting it, i can only describe the taste as a strawberry greek yogurt milkshake. The colour of the drink is very confusing as I could not taste the matcha at all. I felt quite disappointed. It is a nice area and quiet atmosphere for a quick meal, but i would not recommend the matcha latte.

Always a lovely time at Pulse and Pour. Atmosphere: 5/5. Located on level 6 of Republic Plaza’s co-working space. Always having chill and easy listening music to ease yourself in the midst of bustling CBD. Service: 5/5. Always friendly and generous with everyone they meet. With SG60 around the corner, they’re serving the bandung series to celebrate the occasion. I had the iced matcha bandung and it was really tasty! Matcha itself has a floral taste note and nicely sweet, where I find myself going back for longer sips haha. Matcha lovers would be interested to know that matcha was not bitter though there was slight graininess. Interestingly, it wasn’t the sort of graininess derived from the powder or how it was whisked. Apparently I asked and it was a unique blend of Uji matcha that only Pulse and Pour serves. 100% will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $1–10
