absolutely disgusting and rude staff. old chinese lady manning the cashier (but mainly making the waffles) is the most bitter and disrespectful person to work on service. her mannerism of talking is absolutely horrid, and her customer service skills can make people cry. and genuinely it has. that is how rude she is. waffles aren’t even that good, but she can be so sour towards WRONGLY MADE customer order. refuses to make a new one, and refuses to even refund. other staff only acting like bystanders. no one spoke up or assisted to de-escalate the situation. horrible staffing needs to be retrained on customer service skills. 1. The waffle batter is just average. 2. Old lady staff lacked kindness, understanding and was just plain old rude. 3. Got an order wrong and refused to make new one, guilt tripped me to take the wrong order because “no one orders this”. After an exhausting day, I didn’t have the energy to deal with her attitude so I took the waffle. I ended up throwing it anyways because unfortunately it was even good and the filling wasn’t something I liked. 4. The other staff didn’t even care to de-escalate the situation and just pretended to be busy. Just a bad experience overall. I’m never buying from this place again. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

23/3 Q bread outlet at 102 Towner road. Only ordered ONE waffle with 2 flavors in it. The person on duty was a PRC. I told her my order in simple English and she pretended to understand. After that she asked me again if i wanted the flavors to be spread. Obviously. Assuming she didn't understand i told her my order in chinese this time. She afterwards charged me $3.70 for the waffle. Knowing that it only cost me $2.30 for one with extra topping i asked her for clarification. She told me in chinese 'i though that you said 2 waffles'. I clearly had told her 1. So i asked her if it was ok to refund me the change. To my dismay she told me "I already charged in the cash register can't. Sorry about it. Just take it" OK? So who's gonna eat the extra waffle, me? Im sorry to say that shops should not hire workers like this. Even simple English can't be understood by her? If this is the case, then she will cheat every single person of their money when they 'misorder'? I don't think that's right. I hope Q bread can do something about this situation. For that person on duty, i hope someone properly trains her sales ethics.
