Me and my husband went to Magpie for an afternoon drink. The hotel itself is being refurbished big time, but the bar is still open luckily. After walking up through the construction site we found a nice place to relax. However the menu options are really poor. We went there for a beer but they only had Guinness. No other beer options, just a few cocktails. We paid 240 Baht each for a small glass of Guinness. Very expensive for the state the venue is in at the moment. It might be better once the hotel is finished, but in our opinion they should either change the menu/concept in the meantime or adjust pricing. Price per person: ฿200–300

Magpie, though a bit far away from the main street of Chinatown, is still worth a visit. Away from the loud noise and overwhelming density, on the 5th floor of an underconstruction building. The view is nice and the bar is super chill and good looking. The staff were super nice, though I didn't enjoy any of the cocktails we ordered, it is still worth a visit but maybe stick to the beers and wines. On the con side, you will have to go up 4 floors on stairs, as there is no elevators, also one floor up inside the bar to the upper deck. Price per person: ฿300–400 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was very expensive for a gin and tonic that was the weakest I’ve ever had and a Guinness. No draught beer on tap which is crazy. Atmosphere was very lacking. To get up to the roof top bar it’s up 5 flights of stairs and some of those was really slippery due to builders dust on some of the levels. This could be a great place just make the prices better and have draught drinks on tap and actually use gin. Price per person: ฿500–600 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
