overall better than expected. The desserts and egg tart were not too sweet. The matcha taro double milk custard surprised us with a smooth matcha cream and taro paste that was mildly sweetened, though the greenness does look Abit artificial. The custard portion had the perfect texture as well. Egg tart was superbly crunchy but slightly greasy Would come back again to try other pastries Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Tried RUXU’s Cheese Foam & Taro YingDe Black Tea + Caramel Croissant Tart. Creamy cheese foam, smooth taro, rich tea base. The tart is flaky, buttery, with silky caramel filling. I ordered their signature 鲜牛乳大满贯 (Fresh Milk Ultimate-Mix), which truly lives up to its name. The base of fresh milk is smooth, creamy, and lightly sweetened, allowing the natural dairy flavour to stand out without being cloying. What makes this dessert special is the generous mix of toppings—chewy pearls, soft taro balls, silky grass jelly, and sweet red beans—all layered into one bowl. Each spoonful offers a delightful contrast of textures, from bouncy to velvety. Despite the variety of ingredients, the dessert remains well-balanced and not overly heavy. It’s both comforting and refreshing, especially in Singapore’s warm weather. Overall, RUXU delivers a satisfying dessert experience that combines tradition with a modern aesthetic, making it a popular choice for those craving something indulgent yet not overly rich.
