Filling the void of speciality cafes in Anam-dong, the Radical Brewing Club is a welcome surprise for anyone based in this famous university neighbourhood. Located just one alleyway away from the front gates of Korea University, head barista and owner Dan has created a unique space designed to exhibit coffee from all over South Korea. With up to 12 different roasted coffee brands on the menu this is a great place to discover your favourite while learning more about the increasingly diverse local coffee scene. Considered one of the first generation of Korean baristas to learn their trade in Melbourne (), Dan has been instrumental in introducing Australian coffee culture to Seoul. Since returning from Melbourne four years ago, Dan successfully brought famous Aussie brand “Dukes Coffee Roasters” to Korea, has worked in several speciality coffee shops in Seoul, and now proudly runs his own cafe consultant business. The menu replicates the simple chalkboards found commonly in Melbourne with three choices; Black, White or Filter. Roasted beans currently on offer include Coffee Libre, Werk, Fritz Coffee Company, Mesh, Momos and many more.
