Second time here, never fails to impress. Quality is top-tier. Springy noodles, sticky and tasty broth, melt-in-the-mouth chashu. Exactly what one looks for in a good bowl of ramen. The vibe is 100% authentic. Between the tight counter seating and the glowing lanterns, it feels exactly like a hidden gem in Japan. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ramen-ya's ramen unsurprisingly is high quality. Albeit the style of the ramen is unique to the chef's own interpretation eg. shio ramen is not a clear soup, but there is no doubt the quality of both the soup and meats are insanely well done! Highly recommend the shio ramen. The soup is rich and flavourful, and together with the thin yellow ramen it comes together perfectly. However, the star of the show is definitely the charred pork belly. Even though its served together with the fats, but it does not have any overly oily feel to it, and everything falls apart as its just that tender and when you chew, its so soft it takes minimal effort for the entire piece to just melt away. The place is small and only has bar counter seating, which does give it a sort of an authentic feeling to the entire ramen experience very close to what you get in Japan for small ramen places. The deco of the entire place is on point as well which adds to the entire atmosphere. Do take note, the queue works in a similar style as well to the Japanese vending machine method where you order and pay first via the kiosk outside, and wait until your turn is called.
