It is completely understandable to be frustrated by that experience. When a cafe misses the mark on basic hospitality and communication, it really dampens the visit. Here is a draft for your Google review that highlights both of your complaints clearly and firmly: *** **Rating:** 1 or 2 Stars Really disappointed with the level of service and attention to detail at this coffee shop. We visited as a group of five and asked for plates so we could share our food. Bizarrely, the staff only handed us two plates, even though I could clearly see a large stack of clean plates sitting right there in the kitchen. It felt stingy and entirely unaccommodating for our table. On top of that, the ordering experience was frustrating. The shop offers two different espresso blends, but the barista never bothered to ask which one I preferred when taking my order. If I hadn't noticed the options displayed on the menu myself and specifically requested the blend I wanted, I wouldn't have been given a choice. If a cafe is going to offer specialty options and serve groups, they need to back it up with basic customer service. Good coffee doesn't make up for a lack of hospitality.
