We went there for drinks n dessert after dinner. We ordered waffle with ice cream and apple crumble with ice cream for dessert. Watermelon and lychee freeze, honey oat matcha and coffee mont blanc. Waffle is freshly made, warm, crispy on the outside n fluffy on the inside. Goes well with the vanilla ice cream. Apple crumble is more of a deconstructed style, its a nice surprise. Watermelons lychee freeze is nice and not too sweet. Honey iat matcha is a bit too sweet for our liking. Coffee mont blanc is aromatic and nice. Overall, we are satisfied with the dessert n drinks. I had an amazing lunch here. The toasty was so good with beef and cheese and crisp well done bread. It was mouth-watering from beginning to end. Then I finished it off with an unbelievable waffle. Wow! I had to stop myself from eating another! I will be back!

Disappointing and Irritating service. First, when we (2 pax) stepped in, there were only 2 emptied tables (both tables were for 4 pax) but with some uncleared utensils. When the staff looked around and there were no other tables, they gave the nod of using one of the 2 available tables and went to clean up one of it. As the staff was cleaning it, one of the 2 pax table became available as the patrons finished dining. Then suddenly, the staff told us to sit at the 2 pax table instead, which we did not wanted to cause we are already waiting to be seated at the table that we agreed with the staffs. Plus, the 2 pax table was a little bit too cramp as it was packed right at the back. So we asked politely if we can sit at the 4 pax table when the staff insisted we sit at the 2 pax table. Then the staff said: You can sit at the 4 pax table but if there is a larger group that comes in, we have to shift to the 2 pax table. To the staff of Refuel II, can you listen to what you are saying? You are telling us that we will have to oblige to your "instructions" and shift all our food to the 2 pax table even though we have are already dining halfway, when a bigger group appears? Seriously? Is this some kind of military owned canteen or am I in some kind of school environment? Am i not a consumer at the cafe? The question to Refuel II, in the above situation, is it necessary for your staff to so inflexible on the table usage? If a bigger group arrives, can't they wait while the next available table becomes available? For everyone information, many tables become available, be it from 2 - 6 pax during our short 30 mins stay at the cafe. So with this situation, is there still a need for the staff to be so inflexible and is that the basic experience that the cafe offers? Then came the ordering process. At the end, after I have placed the order, there were 2 options via the ordering app for payment. One was to pay immediately via thru the app, the other was to make the payment at the counter. On the app, it does not states that payment at the counter has to be immediate. In a lot of dining establishment, this option of paying at the counter usually take place after the consumer has finished dining. So without a doubt, we would assumed so and therefore, happily waited for food to arrive. 5 mins passed, then a lady walked over and asked us in a unfriendly tone (personally), "can you make your payment now?". I was surprised but I was cool and went to make the payment. The tone from the staff again was unpleasant. If payment over the counter needs to be immediate after placing the order, it would helps if that sentence is also available on the check out page. Food wise was alright, we have pulled pork burger, meat was a little bit dry and Fish and Chips was normal. Overall, food and ambience was alright but because of the service, it is not a place that I will return. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
