I entered the new patisserie, a space pared down to minimal lines and quiet intent. I ordered an oat milk Hojicha and a Matcha tart, both unsweetened. The Hojicha offered a nutty warmth, its flavour deep and lingering. The tart, though visually exacting, failed to assert itself; it promised more than it delivered, leaving the experience incomplete. - Eg0lette

Went in, thought the ambiance was super cozy. The cafe has very pretty displays of local art pieces, as well as gorgeous minimalist seating. But before I sat down to order, I first went into the washroom. It was pretty clean and smelled really nice as well. Though, once I finished my Piss, the cashier then told me: “Sorry, this isn’t a public washroom, so you’ll need to buy something.” Out loud. With 5 other people to hear. It was absolutely humiliating. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have told me before I went in the washroom. It wasn’t like I rushed in immediately, in fact, I wandered around the place, then slowly went into the toilet. But no, they had to wait for me to finish, then embarrass and pressure me to order something. I wouldn’t have minded if they warned me about their washroom rule beforehand, it’s completely understandable. But waiting, just to make sure I give you money because I’m unable to retract my piss from the toilet, is simply rude. So I’d say, if bad service is your cup of tea, then there is no other place I’d recommend other than Relive Patisserie.
