Drinks, pool table, new friends, owner and staff are top of samui! I was exhausted and tired after work but Richard's birthday night woke me up and oh my god what a night! Atmosphere as usual was amazing! Thanks to all and especially owners and all the people around. Band was amazing and of course I sing like everytime, night was 10/10!! Price per person: ฿1,400–1,600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you're on Samui to relax in comfort, you owe yourself at least one trip to Richard's Bar. The crowd is mostly expats and longer-term tourists, with a smattering of their Thai spouses and their friends. It's a wonderful place to make new friends and have some sociable conversation. The owners are truly wonderful people who will make you feel as though you've come home rather than away. The music is a winning combination of classic rock/blues/jazz of the finest caliber. Price per person: ฿100–200
