We went to this beautiful place in low season just for a drink. It is set on the mountainside overlooking the beach, and is stunning in an oldy-worldy sort of way. I've been coming to Koh Chang since 2002 and it's still the same now as back then, intentionally old fashioned Thai style, which is very rare to find these days sadly. There's no easy road access, you have to walk a fair distance north along White Sand beach to get there. But it's definitely well worth the walk.

Such a lovely location, right on the water - I've never woken up to such incredible views, really glad I got to experience it for the first time here. The owners and staff are so lovely and laidback and the food is delicious. I stayed here twice in the space of a week only as they were booked up on the dates I wanted so I booked a different hotel for one night and came back here. Rock Sand Resort will forever be my favourite hotel on White Sand Beach Service: 5
