I recently visited Roji in Central for dinner. Overall, it was a solid dining experience. The service was a definite highlight; the staff was attentive, efficient, and polite throughout the evening. The food was well-executed. The deep-fried cartilage was fried to a good crisp, and it had a distinct lemongrass aroma that made the dish feel less heavy. The creamy udon was another good choice, with the rich sauce balancing well against the generous amount of crispy fried garlic on top. For the Torotaku, the minced tuna was properly seasoned, but the standout element was the inclusion of the crunchy yellow pickled radish. It provided a necessary textural contrast and balanced the richness of the fish. We also ordered the octopus, which was cooked well and served with two different sauces that offered a clear sweet and sour flavor profile. Roji provides good quality dishes and very good service. It is a reliable modern Izakaya option in the Lan Kwai Fong area. Price per person: $300–350 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
