What started as a great little indie spot on the beach road turned into a horrible, unfriendly bar whose only good point is that it's not a girly bar. But honestly, you will have far better service at any of the girly bars in Kamala than here. The old lady couldn't be less friendly. Oh, and you'd better have the exact change, otherwise your 10-20 thb change will be gone. This place sells weed but you can't smoke it there - at a place called Roots Bar no less! Basically, there is absolutely nothing roots or reggae about it, and it's way overpriced for what it is. Avoid. Price per person: ฿1–200 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Horrible place with horrible service. The old lady who works there is so rude I have never experienced such behaviour from a store. I was staying at the hotel next door and thought I would pop down for a drink but all I found was a dirty store run by the worst people in Thailand. Thai people are very kind and compassionate, I hope this lady can change and become better more like how the majority of Thai people are. Go to this place if you want a bad experience, if not then go somewhere else!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
