Small neighborhood bakery with cakes, bread and pastries. Their egg tarts and Heong Peah 马蹄酥 deserve special mention. 1. Egg tart skin is so thin, franky and light - content is moist and not too sweet. 2. Heong Peah 马蹄酥 is franky, thin and sweet. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Very disappointing experience because of the insensitive aunty. She asked if I knew how to eat the tapioca kueh, then asked whether I was malay or indian because “indians usually don’t eat this.” She asked the same question when I bought tapioca again from the shop. I replied that many Singaporeans, regardless of race, know what tapioca kueh is. I found the interaction racist and offensive. No customer should be stereotyped or judged based on their race or ethnicity. I hope the business addresses this so other customers don’t have the same experience. Service: 1

Bought a few breads that cost less than $5 using paynow and I forgot to show the counter aunty the transaction. She then very rudely demand me to show her the transaction but I have already closed the window. So I made the effort to my banking statement and show her the NETS transaction made to HOMIES via paynow and she said “you always dont show, i remember you.” in a very sarcastic tone. Fyi, I hardly come to this bakery cause I don’t even stay around this estate. Who the heck she remember? Never gonna patron this shop ever again. Shengsiong next door has better variety of bread options. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
