The best experience staying at Roundhouse. Incredible hospitality from Nadia and Paul - great bar, music, location, rooms, pets, people, etc. Very warm and welcoming experience and I will absolutely be back. Highly recommend! Service: 5

Visited for a couple of beers one evening. The Roundhouse is just THE coolest place with such a laid back 'rustic shipwrecked' kinda vibe (I mean that in a nice way of course) DO visit when on lanta!! Service: 5

A Night to Remember - If Only We Could Forget! This place is an experience — not of fine dining, but of sheer, unbridled chaos. Here’s a breakdown of our unforgettable evening at Lanta Roundhouse: The Staff: Were they employees? Guests? Extras in a surrealist film? One server casually rolled a joint while another confidently delivered plates in his bare chest. Truly, a masterclass in hospitality. The Vibe: Think "Brits Abroad," fueled by beer and tonns of joints. The Service: Glacially slow — but hey, when your waiter is having as much fun as the guests, who has time for food? The Food: It eventually arrived, and it was... fine. Not bad, not great. But in the grand spectacle of the night, it was more of a supporting act than the star of the show. If you’re looking for impeccable service and refined dining, this is not the place for you. But if you’re in the mood for a front-row seat to an avant-garde performance of “What Even Is This?” then buckle up, grab a drink (you’ll need it), and enjoy the ride. 2/5 — One star for the sheer entertainment value, and another for the stories we’ll be telling for years. PS to the owners: You’ve created something truly unique.

Hey Grete,First off, thank you for the most avant-garde review we’ve ever received — it genuinely gave us a laugh (and a dramatic reading at the staff meeting). You’ve got a real way with words!We’re truly sorry your night with us felt more like a Wes Anderson outtake than a relaxing island dinner. While we do embrace the wild and wonderful energy of Lanta life, we also aim to serve good food with heart and hospitality from 8am to 3pm. And from 5 till late we support a small local Thai restaurant with their menu in our bar.You’re right — we’re not fine dining. We’re more “barefoot boho meets beautiful chaos” — and sometimes, with our small team and a packed house, that chaos tips a little too far. We totally get that slow service isn’t ideal when you’re hungry, and we’re working on it (no, really — we are!).That said, we do love that you saw the uniqueness in what we’re creating here. It means a lot. Lanta Roundhouse was built on the idea of stepping out of the frame and living on the edge — sometimes a little too literally — but always with heart, sunshine, and soul.Thanks again for the honesty, the sass, and the story-worthy memories.
