中学校の修学旅行以来42年ぶりの日光東照宮。湯葉料理が食べたいのであらかじめ予約してランチにお伺いいたしました。ランチ3種類の中から湯豆腐膳を注文。湯葉刺、揚巻湯葉など湯葉を堪能させて頂き、また湯豆腐も豆乳仕立てなので最後まで楽しむことができました。また季節のご飯もとても美味しかったです。また日光に行った際にはランチでお伺いしたいと思っています。ごちそうさまでした。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000

As I am vegetarian and love fresh yuba, I was looking for a restaurant that combined these two things. I previously used to visit 精進料理 restaurant Gyoshintei, which has unfortunately since closed. So when I saw the photos of the beautiful garden at 山内茶寮 大光坊, I knew I had to visit! I ordered the Yubadon with the ginger drink, which was the perfect antidote to the summer heat. I had a table overlooking the beautiful garden, and with the windows open there was a pleasant breeze. The yubadon, miso soup full of bamboo shoots, and sesame tofu was very filling. There was such a large portion that I was unable to finish all of the rice, but I very much enjoyed the Yuba, pickles, and soy sauce with sake lees to go with it. You also get a small square of yokan for dessert. It’s worth going just for the beautiful garden alone! Outstanding service as well. Very convenient to Rinnoji temple and the shrines.
