情報の誤りを報告する
When I asked for a sharing plate, but was rudely told that ‘no don’t have sharing plate’ in a dismissive and annoyed tone. First of all, plates and bowls at an eating establishment are essential so this doesn’t quite make sense. I decided to clarify by telling him that I ordered two dishes for two people but only wanted to share the rice. Again with the dismissive tone ‘sorry not enough, not my problem’, although he didn’t sound at all sorry. At this point I was feeling confused, as not having enough cutlery could be rectified easily by purchasing more and if they decided to skimp on their operation cost by not purchasing enough cutlery for the consumers consumption, then it most certainly is ‘their problem’.
So not only were they rude, but they also refused to shoulder the responsibility of a business owner running a food establishment. At the end of our heated debate when I tried to explain to him how having enough cutlery IS in fact their problem, he waved his hands at me and said ‘go away lah’. Wow. What a comeback.
Their food does not warrant for their attitude and I don’t think anyone trying to order food for lunch should have to endure this type of insult. If one is unable to treat another human being with basic decency, then perhaps you should reflect upon your life instead of running a food stall.
