サヴォイに14年勤め独立 店名は木村さんがつけてくれたそうです サヴォイキタノザカに舞い戻って飲み直そうと扉を開けると、やはり満員、 エレベーターで乗り合わせたサヴォイキタノザカへ配達されていた酒屋の方が、 「お弟子さんの店がありますよ。よければ案内します！」 という言葉にありがたく紹介していただきました。 師匠のお店の内装を参考にされたのか？カウンターやお酒の棚の造りがそっくりでいい雰囲気です。 キビキビとした所作の中にもユーモアある接客で直ぐにマスターを気に入ってしまいました。 いいお店です また来ます。ご馳走様でした ※パルミジャーノとミモレットも熟成度高くこだわり感じました. This establishment is omotenashi of the bartending experience at the highest level. Kinopi-san (the sole bartender) provided a fantastic experience. My group ordered 3 drinks per person and we have relatively high tolerances. Be warned, the drinks are delicious and deceptive; you can barely taste the alcohol in these drinks but you’ll notice the familiar buzz all too quickly if you drink too fast. Kinopi-san is a master bartender who has won awards, so savor what you order. The highball w/ nikka maltbase whiskey is wonderfully smooth. The penicillin w/ laguvulin and white horse scotch garnished grated ginger has a great balance of flavors. The white rum based concoction mixed with grapefruit juice/slices that only Savoy East Gate uses, was my personal favorite and a drink that represents the Kobe/Kansai region. We finally ended our sojourn with the Yamazaki 2024 edition, neat. Note that this bar does not have a menu; you either know your drink’s name or you describe what flavor profiles/spirits you prefer. As with a lot of Japanese institutions: learning a bit of Japanese goes a long way. While Kinopi-san’s English is good, using a translator can enhance your experience. Plus, it’s just good manners to put in a bit of effort to help someone serve you better, because that is the spirit of omotenashi. If you are in the Kobe area, Savoy East Gate is a must. Whether you’re here for 1 drink or 3, you will undoubtedly have a fabulous time.
