I had a truly wonderful experience at SHAKA SHAKA MATCHAThe lady who served me was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. Not only did she prepare my matcha and hojicha perfectly and with so much care, but she also took the time to introduce me to the shop's foundation, its history, and everything I should know about itThe cafe itself is gorgeous, with a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It feels like a true hidden gem—it's a newer, niche spot that isn't too widely known yet, but everyone should absolutely check it out. I highly recommend coming here!! Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As a Japanese who loves and appreciates matcha, the experience here was the best I’ve had so far. What concerns me about current matcha trend is that most places serve stuff that you can’t actually taste matcha and appreciate the work behind it. At Shaka Shaka, I recommend starting with “Usucha” so you can taste the matcha by itself, then get latte. Staff is friendly, interior is warm and welcoming. If you are someone who wants to appreciate matcha, this is THE place to be. Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
