I always enjoy eating their cold noodles and vege side dishes. Their noodle is chewy and aromatic, its spiciness is even customizable which I think is great! The best part is being affordable, two adults can be well-fed for under S$10. The food in my photo costed S$6.40. Their seatings are quite limited though, just two to three small tables for dine-in. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 1–10 Vegetarian options: Cold noodles, tomato soup noodles, various vegetables dishes.

It’s been 4 years! Not only has this place failed to improve—it’s actually gotten worse The staff don’t even know what payment methods their own shop supports! I asked if I could pay by Grab, and he said yes. But before I could scan, he rushed to place my order. Luckily I scanned early and saw it was an *invalid code*! If I had ordered first and only found out I couldn’t pay afterward, that would’ve been jialat. I was puzzled—after all, I originally found this shop on GrabFood. How could it not support GrabPay? Turns out they’ve *already delisted*. Speechless This place serves noodles and stir‑fried dishes. From pricey Chongqing grilled fish to budget‑friendly cold noodles and flower rolls, it’s a decent spot for affordable eats. I used to recommend it like this: “If you’re totally out of ideas for what to eat, just come here and get a suancai fish or Chongqing noodles.” But in recent years, with mala hotpot shops popping up everywhere, this carb‑heavy cold dish shop has lost its edge—especially for diners who avoid carbs. And once I did takeaway from here, only to find the cold dish had *already gone bad* when I got home! That shows serious issues with food storage. Terrible quality control! In Singapore, serving expired food to customers takes guts From the menu prices, it’s clear that even the long‑sitting cold dishes have gotten *much more expensive*. And for the same price, you could get freshly stir‑fried dishes at a mala hotpot shop—why would anyone settle for expired food? Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Situated conveniently beneath Tampines MRT station, Sichuan Chef enjoys a prime location, perfect for grabbing a meal on the go after commuting. While the restaurant itself is petite, it surprises diners with an extensive selection of Sichuan delicacies. The menu boasts a variety of tantalizing Sichuan snacks, such as the flavorful seaweed salad and the savory beef salad, each offering a burst of authentic flavors. Don't miss out on the spicy and sour soup, a delightful blend of heat and tanginess that leaves taste buds tingling with satisfaction. Despite its modest size, Sichuan Chef packs a punch with its flavorful offerings, making it a must-visit for lovers of Sichuan cuisine living in Tampines.
