Stepping onto the deck of Sai & Lakeview ร้านอาหารริมบึงหนองโคตร in Khon Kaen felt like finally exhaling a breath I'd been holding all week. This wasn't just a restaurant; it was a perfect little pause button on the edge of Nong Khot Lake. What truly sets this place apart is the view. As the sun began to dip, the sky turned into a canvas of soft golds, pinks, and oranges, reflecting perfectly on the calm water. It’s the kind of sunset that makes you want to put your phone away and just be. We chose a table right by the water, and the gentle breeze and the sight of people jogging and relaxing by the lake created such a peaceful, almost nostalgic atmosphere. It felt warm, welcoming, and instantly soul-soothing. This is where you go when you need a little moment of uncomplicated happiness. We ordered a mix of classic Thai dishes. While the flavors weren't necessarily the most groundbreaking or "gourmet" I've ever had, they were honest, familiar, and absolutely delicious. The Fried Fish with Herb Salad was a highlight—crispy on the outside, moist inside, and the herb dressing had that satisfying Thai balance of spice, sour, and sweetness. The Pad See Ew was comforting and perfectly cooked. The food felt like it was made with care—like a really good home-cooked meal, just amplified by the lakeside view. Very nice atmosphere. Variety of Menu and very good tasted. Staff are well trained and friendly. Good live music too.
