The restaurant's name, "Sakariba," is derived from the Japanese word for "bustling area," reflecting the district's history. The interior is the main attraction, meticulously recreating a 1960s-70s theater ambiance with vintage hand-painted movie posters. This creates a truly unique and nostalgic dining atmosphere. The menu features Taiwanese "Rèchǎo" (stir-fry) style cuisine, with an extensive selection of stir-fries, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. We sampled several items: 素客家水蓮 were crisp and fresh, while 金沙豆腐 had a rich, distinct flavor from its salted duck egg yolk sauce that might be an acquired taste. 香腸炒飯 was well-prepared with its signature sweet sausage, and 鳳梨蝦球 were a solid take on the classic dish.
