Second time dinner. First was with a friend and this time was on my own. I remembered the last pizza was a bit 'soggy', the pasta were simple and al dente. Ordered soup and pasta this time. Mushroom soup was ok but it doesr come with any bread which was a disappointment. Something simple that will add to the experience. Pasta was al dente as usual. Both evenings were not crowded, a good venue for a quiet gathering. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 30–40 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

I recently dropped by Salvo by Pasta Fresca at PLQ and had an okay experience. What we ate: • Marinara (Fresh Pasta) – A flavourful seafood pasta with prawns, squid, and mussels in a tangy tomato base. The seafood was fresh and well-seasoned, and the sauce clung beautifully to the pasta—comforting yet light. • Truffle Caviar Mushroom (Pizza, 12”) – This white-pizza standout featured a garlicky mayo base topped with button mushrooms, mozzarella, truffle oil, truffle caviar, and fresh rucola. The crust was thin and crisp, with elegant, aromatic truffle notes and just the right amount of earthy mushrooms and peppery greens. Verdict: • Food quality: Solid highlights—especially the Truffle Caviar Mushroom pizza, which was a definite crowd-pleaser. Marinara pasta was also satisfying. • Service: Courteous and efficient for the most part, though nothing especially friendly or inviting. • Ambience: The bistro is on the cozy and compact side, so seating is a bit limited, but it feels more intimate. All in all, it’s a good spot for Italian fare in a relaxed, warm setting. The food shines, particularly the standout pizza—would say it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and craving for Italian food.
