Sam Chaan Cafe is a highly recommended dining spot located right across from the Hong Kong Museum of History, making it the perfect, closest restaurant to visit after touring the exhibits. The standout dish is undoubtedly the baked pork chop in tomato sauce with fried rice, which is served in a very generous portion, perfectly cooked, and incredibly delicious. Adding to the excellent experience is the exceptionally accommodating service; despite a minor language barrier, the servers understand English well enough to kindly and effortlessly provide water, ice, and takeout containers upon request. With a diverse menu that also features coffee, desserts, and traditional snacks, this cleaner-than-average café offers a stellar combination of comforting food, convenience, and welcoming hospitality.
