Sandaime Hiraki Kaisenyaki/Oden was decent, but not quite memorable. The food was fair—nothing to complain about, but nothing that made me want to order a second round either. It gets the job done if you’re just looking for a simple meal. Service, though, felt a bit stretched. With what seemed like a one-man show running the place, things moved slower than expected. Credit where it’s due—he tried—but you could feel the limits of a solo operation during busier moments. As for ambience, it was pretty underwhelming. The vibe lacked warmth or character, making it feel more like a quick pit stop than a place you’d want to linger. Thankfully, I was there with my partner, which made the whole experience a lot more bearable—good company doing most of the heavy lifting where the restaurant didn’t. Overall: not bad, not great. If you go, bring patience and maybe a friend (or partner) to help create the atmosphere the place is missing. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
