really great tempura, thin breading and full of flavour. i enjoyed my chasoba very much! pictured is the regular size; there is an option for a large size as well. the beef rice bowl was very good in terms of texture but needed more seasoning, so i added a little bit of the dipping sauce and ate with the provided chasoba toppings (green onion and wasabi) as needed. the matcha was really bitter and on the less saturated, more brown-green side, so i can’t say i enjoyed it i liked how quiet and straightforward this shop feels compared to the hustle and bustle of takeshita-dori immediately outside. it is equally recommendable for moderate-sized groups as well as solo travellers, as there is a room in the back with a long table in addition to the bar-type seating and small tables in the front of the shop. ordering is done at the kiosk; you are given a ticket number on your receipt and your number pops up on a screen when the order is ready. there is also a well equipped bathroom for customers in the back. I took a toddler here. She loved the terriyaki chicken rice ball. My husband tried hot soba and i tried cold green tea soba with tempura. We both agree the tempura is crispy and good. A little wait for the food but the food was great. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
