Have been a long time fan of Satay Inn, unfortunately the branch in City Garden had long gone, this branch needed to make a special trip to get there. It was good to see the Singaporean taste was maintained, but portions seem have shrunk since our last visit and some corner cuts. The fried kway tweo for example only had some tiny bits of egg, a few nail size shrimps and two slices of Chinese sausage. The Singaporean fried turnip cake was with exactly the same ingredients as fried kway tweo without Chinese sausages ! Hainan chicken rice set looked good in picture, but chicken was raised up with large amount of shredded lettuce underneath to look generous. It did taste good. They removed beef randang from the menu so I had beef curry. It was delicious but again tiny portion as in the picture.
