For a time I have thought I should visit School Coffee to continue my education in Thai speciality Arabica coffee. I managed it today. I was right! The delightful young staff really do hit this specialism. Erng also speaks good English and ran me through all the details. I’m a coffee nut, in fact a coffee researcher. We balanced Erng’s choices and mine to have a great tasting of Thai bean. Erng is a barista. Pond is the roaster, but I’ve never seen such precision in drip coffee production as his. The boss didn’t appear to be around. A shame as I would have liked a few words. But in truth I think the real bosses are a cat and dog duo. Though I’ve gone off the cat a bit! She undid my shoe-laces so I tripped in the street!!!!!!! Now talking of the street just to say that School Coffee is right by Kasetsart University. It is very much a busy student and young graduate area with a pleasant vibe and many cheap and interesting places to also eat when you are in the area.
