Excellent Thai food with a beautiful waterfront setting I went to Sea Sand Soul several times during my stay in Saladan, and it consistently delivered. I ordered exclusively Thai dishes, and the quality was outstanding. The flavors were vibrant and well balanced, portions were perfect, and presentation was beautiful without being pretentious. Their Tom Yum Goong was so good I ordered it more than once. It had depth, freshness, and the spice level was exactly as requested, they take the time to ask how spicy you would like your food. When I got sick during my trip, they kindly prepared a simple rice soup with chicken for me, just clear broth, rice, and minced chicken, no spices or vegetables. That level of care meant a lot and says everything about their hospitality. The restaurant sits right on the waterfront in a traditional house on stilts, with a relaxed open structure, partly under roof and partly open air. It feels airy and breezy, with views over the water. The atmosphere is relaxed and versatile. It works just as well for a romantic dinner as it does for families or a casual lunch. No loud music, just the sound of the water. Service was consistently warm and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and location, and the overall value is excellent. They also serve great cocktails, smoothies, fresh coconuts, and grilled fish. They can get quite busy, and food may take up to an hour during peak times. However, they inform you about the wait when you arrive, and given the setting and view, it’s actually a pleasant place to spend the time. Highly recommended if you’re in Saladan and want high quality Thai food in a beautiful location. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–400
